A Practical Guide to Cultivating a Devotional Life Part 3 – Worship

We worship God when we enjoy his presence.

We’ve all had experiences with people we love when the whole rest of the world seems to fade away. These moments help us gain a glimpse of what worshiping God can be like.

Psalm 84 describes one who recklessly loves God and craves his presence. Time spent with God means more than anything else.

Here are four ways that we can enjoy God’s presence:

  1. We can enjoy God’s presence with other Christians.
  2. We can enjoy God’s presence when we retreat away from regular demands.
  3. We can enjoy God’s presence when we are overcome with awe.
  4. We can enjoy God’s presence in our ordinary, day-to-day tasks.

Where do you most regularly experience God’s presence? How can you spend more time with him?

Thanks for the reminder that I can enjoy and worship God during the every day tasks like diapering my children and doing dishes.
