Now that I’ve finished my doctorate, I’m even reading Greek for fun! I’ve got no excuse for not writing more.

 

Last night I couldn’t sleep.

 

I was supposed to be up at 5:30am for our weekly breakfast Bible study. I almost never get enough sleep on these nights, but I had actually turned out the lights at 9:37pm.

 

8 hours on a Monday night!

 

But I just lay there, tossing and turning. I had left the door open and the cats were walking all over me. Unable to get comfortable, I finally checked my watch. 10:30. So much for 8 hours. Continue Reading…

A Big Announcement

At the beginning of this week, I officially became a doctoral student.

This is less than a third of the books I need to read for our class in January. The rest are on my iPad.

Earlier this year, I enrolled in Fuller Theological Seminary’s Doctor of Ministry program. I applied for the Missional Leadership cohort. The program is a professional doctorate, not a PhD. I will work on this degree while continuing to work at First Presbyterian Church. Continue Reading…
